I know a lot of this is newspaper hype (hey, it’s a great story), but MAN am I happy that we have clearer provenance for the works going in our catalogue. There will be zero controversy, hopefully.

I have been re-reading all of his work over the past few weeks, and gosh, it is lovely. I have lots of Serious Thoughts about the Glass family and other things, but mostly, I just want to write how he writes.

read this. life will be better for it. here is a great bit: “She went on at beautiful length about how she used to fly all around the apartment when she was four and no one was home. The new announcer is worse than Grant - if possible, even worse than Sullivan in the old days. He said she surely dreamt that she was able to fly. The baby stood her ground like an angel. She said she knew she was able to fly because when she came down she always had dust on her fingers from touching the light bulbs.” and then i sigh a lot and wish i knew how to write sentences…
